After Harry, Ron, and Hermione infiltrated the ministry, Percy was treated as a scapegoat and demoted to the night shift in records.
One night he ran into Pegasus and Hugo and joined their resistance group, the Orange Pips. He began passing information from within the Ministry and assisting them with their espionage missions.

Florizel and Jean wanted to name Hermione, Hippolyta. When they couldn’t come up with a better name, Hugo suggested the name, Hermione because that was the name Pegasus and Hugo would have used if they had a daughter.
